Blogs & Course Pages
In this lesson we are going to:
Learn how to adjust blog page settings
Get familiar with blog/course page back end loading
Go over front end blog/course page designing
Blog pages use the same 'back end archiving' system that we learned with events. They have a page that isn't link, aka hidden, where you create an article or lesson -AND- a front end page that clients see, where you will use a summary block to display your blog or course pages. It's easiest to this of the back end as the secret archive library and the front end as the display shelf.
Potential uses for 'blog pages' are:
Writings and articles
Archiving of live sessions, with session notes (so you would upload the recording directly into the page
Lessons in a course or training program
Resource library for therapy clients
Homework archive of templates for clients
Mini-course offerings that's linked to an automated email series
Video series, either as a free resource or paid archive library
Once you get familiar with the way these pages work, it's easy to manipulate them into the output you need for your offerings.
Action Steps:
Create a backend 'blog page'
Create an 'article', then adjust its settings and design
Use the 'duplicate' function, then change out the: copy, info, images, links, and necessary setting changes: URL, featured image, tags, category, etc..
Create a front end page and use a 'summary block' to pull in the blog page info
Adjust the summary block settings to get the look you want for the front end page
