Can this really be happening?

What a journey it has been. I'm sure you can feel it. 

Things get very exciting when the time to go live is approaching. There are just a handful of final settings that need to be tended to. The settings and backend of SquareSpace are vast. I have narrowed down the primary settings that I recommend working through and will also mention a couple (analytics and commerce) that will be something to work your way into in time, once you have been open for business for awhile. 

Don't get overwhelmed with every setting and option you see back there. They don't all apply to you, so you can work your way through what I cover, then get going!

Action Steps:

  • Obtain your domain/URL if you haven't already

  • Connect your URL to SquareSpace in settings: 'domain'

  • Consider setting up a professional email, i.e.: ______@yourURL.com

  • Adjust commerce settings for: express checkout and checkout page design

  • Set up shipping settings if selling physical products

  • Inside design settings: add a browser icon

  • Add or change your 'social sharing' image
